ตั้งแต่ช่วงแรกๆ ที่คนไทยยังไม่ค่อยใช้ facebook และผมเป็นเจ้าของบล็อก facebookgoo.com ก็เคยมีความคิดว่าอยากจะเขียนหนังสือแนะนำการใช้งาน facebook ออกมา ในตอนนั้นผมวางแผนค่อนข้างจริงจังพอสมควร มีการทำโครงหนังสือออกมาอย่างค่อนข้างละเอียด เสร็จแล้วก็ออกไปเดินตามร้านหนังสือเพื่อจดชื่อสำนักพิมพ์ต่างๆ ที่พิมพ์หนังสือคอมพิวเตอร์ ผมจำได้ว่าจดรายชื่อออกมาไม่น้อยกว่า 4 -5 สำนักพิมพ์แล้วก็ทำการอีเมล์ติดต่อไปทุกเจ้า เผื่อว่าจะมีใครอยากทำหนังสือแนะนำการใช้งาน facebook บ้าง ปรากฎว่าไม่ได้รับการตอบรับจากสำนักพิมพ์ไหนเลยแม้แต่รายเดียว อาจจะเป็นเพราะว่าผมคิดไกลเกินไปหน่อย เพราะว่าตอนนั้น facebook ยังไม่ได้โด่งดังและกลายมาเป็นส่วนหนึี่งของชีวิตประจำวันของคนไทย 10% อย่างทุกวันนี้

แล้วพอวันที่ facebook โด่งดังขึ้นมา แล้วเห็นสำนักพิมพ์ต่างๆ เริ่มแย่งกันพิมพ์หนังสือแนะนำการใช้งาน facebook ไม่เว้นแม้แต่สำนักพิมพ์ที่เคยปฎิเสธผมมาก่อน แล้วก็รู้สึกแค้นใจนิดๆ 555 ประมาณว่าฉันคิดจะทำก่อนแกนะเฟ้ยเฮ้ย! แต่ก็ไม่ได้ซีเรียสอะไรมาก คิดว่าคงยังไม่ใช่จังหวะของผมซะมากกว่า

แต่แล้วพระเจ้าก็เข้าข้าง เมื่อผมได้มีโอกาสเริ่มเปิดอบรม facebook อย่างเป็นเรื่องเป็นราวขึ้นมา อยู่มาวันหนึ่งก็มีอีเมล์ลึกลับจากสำนักพิมพ์แห่งหนึ่งติดต่อมาเองเลย ว่าอยากจะให้ผมได้มีโอกาสเขียนหนังสือ ในหัวข้อ facebook marketing ซึ่งเป็นหลักสูตรที่ผมเพิ่งจะพัฒนาเสร็จและกำลังสอนอยู่พอดี แน่นอนสิครับว่าผมตอบตกลงไปภายในชั่วเวลาเสี้ยววินาที

กระบวนการผลิตหนังสือเป็นอะไรที่ผมไม่คุ้นเคยเป็นอย่างมาก แต่ด้วยความช่วยเหลือและการดันของ บก.หนุ่มฝีมือดีอย่างคุณ ต่อทอง ทองหล่อ แห่งสำนักพิมพ์ Think Beyond และทีมผู้เขียนร่วมอย่างพี่อ๋อง ปวัตน์ เลาหะวีร์ และพี่โรเจอร์ เตฌิณ โสมคำ ซึ่งเข้ามาช่วยขัดเกลาทำให้หนังสือเล่มนี้ออกมาสนุกสนานน่าอ่าน หนังสือเล่มนี้ออกมาได้ในที่สุดเมื่อวันที่ 1 ธค. 2553 นับว่าเป็นหนังสือเล่มแรกในชีวิตของผมเลยแหละ

เอาเป็นว่าใครผ่านไปผ่านมาแถวนี้ ก็ช่วยอุดหนุนกันหน่อยละกันครับ ขอจบด้วยการขายของดื้อๆ แบบนี้แหละ อิ อิ

ป.ล. ณ วันที่เขียนบล็อกนี้ หนังสือเล่มนี้ติดอันดับหนังสือขายดีของ ซี เอ็ด อันดับที่ 39 (เคยขึ้นไปสูงสุดถึง 28 เมื่อสัปดาห์ที่แล้ว) และติดอันดับขายดีอันดับ 3 ในหมวดหนังสือคอมพิวเตอร์เสียด้วย กำลังลุ้นอยู่ว่าจะไปถึง Top 10 ได้หรือเปล่า ขอบคุณพระเจ้าและขอบคุณทุกท่านที่อุดหนุนครับ!

อัพเดทเพิ่มเติม (พฤษจิกายน 2011) หนังสือเล่มนี้ได้ทำการปรับปรุงเนื้อหาให้ทันสมัยขึ้นในการพิมพ์ครั้งที่ 4 พร้อมเปลี่ยนหน้าปกใหม่เป็นแบบนี้ครับ
